I always enjoyed driving the rwd escorts as this was where i learned car control unlike the young drivers today wh can afford hot hatches as their first car and don't know what to do in a slide.

Unless there first car was a E30/E36 or a beat up Volvo 340. (like I did)
Of course if you are rich enough you could always start with a hot hatch.
