Might be our hsitorical competition background in the UK whre it was scommon to have a car to race/rally at the weekeds which was used as a normal transport during the weekdays ! Try a UK spec Scooby or EVO

"imptractical" might need explanation ! Not a family-of-6 kind of car for sure
I loved it too. Would I have it again? Yes.

But I still reckon that it isn't without faults. What a Cooper S isn't a tiny, posh city car. What it is it's a Porsche 911 that looks bit like a british icon. It's basically a two seater sportscar with two tiny shelfs in the back which you can basically use to improve the already inexistent boot space. It has heavy clutch and steering (you could almost believe the power steering has broken or something) and it doesn't have a ride. It also is a fast car that can lend you into a false sense of security. And then you are driving along a nice country road you lift in a corner and you go backwards into a tree and kill yourself. And like the 911 this is cured by giving it more throttle.

So you daughter doesn't have a Mini. She has a Porsche 911.

That's kinda random, and harsh, a bit. But it's to each their own.

TO get lift-off oversteer in a Cooper S then you are not "driving along a nice country road", you are CANING IT
MIdn you that's what you shoudl be doing.
Yes we Brit's are a little insane about having cars that REALLY perform and not jsut look good. Hence the numebr of Caterhams, Atoms et al

As far as I'm concerned the three main contributions of the UK to the civilised world are cars, alcohol (was going to say beer but there's some great scotch etc.) and page 3 girls. Not neccessarily in that order.

    This.

There is no other way to drive it. If you are below 3k, you shouldn't be driving an S.

I can reluctantly say that my mom's big, 7-passenger spaceshuttle CX-9 has something special going on--the enigne. The thing can haul.

me too then. Had two and I wouldn't rate them any better than Toyotas, of which Ive had four. I believe they are more expensive to upkeep though. Their used to be a certain poor mans BMW wank factor about them here though.

Apart from Rollers, Aston Martins and TVRs and perhaps some esoterica Pommy cars are ordinary. Beer rates (if they could learn to refrigerate it). No argument with the scotch and page three girls though!

indeed, the girls never made it to page one. Their beer is just a laugh.

even poms have more class that to put the girls on the front page. Where would the crop circle headlines go?
I have only had exposure to a small sample but I struggle to find beer I don't like. Of course you guys have it made huh?

You'll find the best girls in the crop circles, and yes we cannot complain about our beer environment.
