seems like good placement to me, not much different from most cars in terms of spacing.

    Volkswagen Corrado perhaps?

Or if you are feeling brave, try finding an Alfa Milano or GTV.

They sold them there. Even if he is really comitted he could try finding an 164, the last Alfa sold in the US until the 8C.

It'll probably break down all the time but it's cool, cheap and I can't remember the other thing it had to be.

He's asking for reliable and people are suggesting 15+ year old Porsches? They may be cool but they also strike me as cars for people who have an OTP (other than Porsche).

he himself suggested that his ideal car was a 911....

Love for a car doesn't mean it fits his stated requirements list well.

mine's never stranded me, or indeed have anything break on it so far, and it's not exactly a garage queen...

Yes, but we aren't all crazy antipodeans who risk death everyday at the hands of insane and evil wildlife and drive ass-happy todwagens.

So you're saying it intentionally runs over the dropbears and massive spiders to save the fun for itself?
Here I was thinking Germans had no sense of humor, when obviously your car does...

Of course they do have a sense of humour. I mean they thought the Phaeton was a brilliant idea.

Clutch's porsche has a soul.. Its an evil plotting bitch, one that makes you think it will kill you. Only to prolong the agony by deciding not to at the last minute.

Drop Bears and massive spiders only scare tourists, we're used to them

EDIT: I should mention that I love his porsche and want its babies.
