What would happen if you fell into a black hole?

Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson explains, pretty interesting stuff, and wait for the term of death by black hole.

He came dancing across the water
    With his galleons and guns
    Looking for the new world
In that palace in the sun
    On the shore lay Montezuma
With his cocoa leaves and pearls

    I saw that today.

Would you last long enough to feel all of that?

    Probably not.

It depends on the size of blackhole, a small blackhole it all happens quickly, but in a large black hole it takes more time (on the order of hours maybe?) to get from the event horizon to the center so the effect would be much more pronounced.

That's another interesting debate, the theory is that time slows as you go further into the black hole, but supposedly your internal clock does as well, so would it "feel" instant? Or would it seem to last a lengthy period of time (hours? days? millenia?)?

That's some pretty wacky stuff. Thing is, would it be happening so slowly then that you don't feel anything?

You mean ignoring the fact this all takes place in the vaccum of space, in which we cannot survive? Even if you're in a space suit the second it becomes comprimised, its lights out.

So no, you wouldn't feel it.

Even if you go out an airlock you've got something like 30 seconds before you die, a slow leak from a suit would take longer.
