Strange Dent thats not there!

Hi Guys,

I noticed the other day looking at reflections on my Ford Focus that the light was bending strangely over a small area with a scratch. i thought it was a smalld dent, but looking closely i cant see or feel a dent at all. What is it? I did T-Cut that area exclusively a few weeks ago to try and get rid of the scratch do you think this is why the reflection is bending in this area? weird

I got one of those cheap sucker dent repair things, tried to use it but nothing happened so i left it. Dont want to percerveir with that thing feel it will crease more dents if used too much.

Thin patch of clear/wax?

i did actually use a bit of t-cut, then covered it with wax and jsut polished this small area exclusively. maybe thats what has caused it?

I'm guessing that reflected light is a more accurate arbiter than even the most careful physical inspection...

Btw I've found the old T-cut to be a rather aggressive substance (too much for my liking) although I'm sure you know what you're doing.

It may be a reflective optical illusion... or possibly a bit of warpage caused by heat generated when you used the T-cut.
