TLM Racing quits Canadian Formula 1200 series

TLM Racing made a final statement during the FTDA Meeting that it will not be racing in the 2010 Formula 1200 season. TLM Racing’s decision was to sell the team to former 2009 driver Carlo Triolo. That deal has fell through.
The three car team has been racing since 2007. With a driver development team and the ladder system to bring drivers up to the formula car grid. TLM Racing has had a successful team. Winning the Vallis cup for two years in a row, won the rookie of the year for driver Alex Ellis and Keenan Harris.
2008 was arguably the best year for TLM racing. Drivers Alex Ellis, Dylan Gibson and Greg Brenzil brought the old white and green cars to the podiums. With 5 wins and 22 podiums, with 2 trophy wins, Vallis Cup and Rookie of the year.
The 2009 saw a whole new livery, with the collaboration of Brian Graham Racing and TLM Racing. The two teams put together as a drivers career builder the “ladder” system. The idea was to show young drivers that you don’t need a lot of money to build your resume in the racing field. Formula 1200 was the starter step, then they would move to Formula Ford, the winged cars of Formula 2000. The team was run by General Manager Chris Tanser, Director Driver Development Dave Matkovich, and Marketing & PR Director Gerry Merz.
The final decision of the team is to sell the current number 5 Stiletto and return the two BRD’s back to the club. The Formula 1200 Drivers Association (FTDA) would like to thank TLM Racing for the dedication and hard work in bring three drivers to the grid.
