Agree. Seems like all the annoying BMW posers have finally moved to Audi. But from my experience, the drivers of huge SUVs and MPVs are the worst. Thosy guys in the BMWs aren't that bad anymore, althoug you should avoid previous gen 3er coupes (those are mostly bought by some Fast-and-Furious-wannabes).

New models of the Range Rover

Thats pretty much what Cam was saying in his earlier post. Its the driver's behind the wheels of their cars thats the problem, not the cars. With an idiot behind the wheel, each and every car is a douchemobile. People need to turn down the suck knob.

For some aussie flavour, a black HSV ute has to be on that list too.
Life's too short to drive bad cars.

It's curious, I'd say that opposite to what happens with SUVs, in the car area the cheaper and smaller is it the more prone is the driver to be an idiot, at least considering premium brands.

See for instance, drivers of 5ers and 7ers are usually fine, even if there are exceptions, being educated and sensible drivers. 3er drivers are worse, especially in they have M badges. And 1er drivers are the worse of all, thinking that because they drive a BMW everyone should move over regardless of everything else.

Oh shit. I'm about to be one of them.
Well, maybe not... I actually DO research before I buy. IIRC you brought up an article in a previous thread regarding a BMW 1er survey. I can't recall the exact percentage of idiots, but I think it was around 80%-90% of all of the 1ers who participated didn't happen to know what the drivetrain of their 1s are; everyone of them thought they were driving RWD when they were really driving FWD. Talk about clueless....

It saddens me that you have been corrupted to own a Cayenne.

Let me first say this to put you in the right frame of mind: In Wikipedia for a long time they listed the Cayenne as the successor to the 928, a front engine, V8, GT with excellent handling characteristics and everyday usability. Porsche then combined the characteristics of the 928 with a VW platform (not unlike what they did with the 356) to create a highly usable GT that could seat five and could be used off road. And by the way, it's been rallied in the Transsyberia Rally, where it won. How much more pedigree do you need?

The name for this article is fantastic. I laughed when I first saw it. Anyways, douchey cars for me would be all those ricers out there who think that they can own you with their cartoonic car but later find out that they failed hard.

As much as you can say Cayennes are an example of good engineering and hide their weight well, they are principly a tall lump that could NEVER be classified as a 'GT'. Yes, dynamically they are good for what they are - but they still can hide the fact they are an SUV. Putting a very high power engine in to get performance figures still can't fool us.
