    Project Nightmare. Pro-Street S197 build.

No, it's not mine, but I figured most of you guys would get a kick out of this build (I didn't know where else to put the build thread but please feel free to move it).

Be warned, you have to abandon any kind of reason before you judge it. It's a Pro Street S197 Mustang, and yes, it will be fully street legal and driven as such. The car started out as a burn victim from an insurance company sale.

We can egg-nogg if need be -- but y'all have to wait 'til the shift lever is back in.

Biggest street legal tire there is:

Neighbour does this with 30s Fords.
Not sure how I feel about a modern car getting that level of surgery.
BUT, can't wait to see and hear it

Will it be going on the strip to compete or kept for show ??

I don't think that car will ever see the drag strip.

Thought I had a few closeups of the rear end, but I must have deleted them by accident. It's a 4-link.

You gotta try her on the strip... at least once.

    This.

That is truly awesome, if only for the absurdity. Thing I love about mustangs is the cheap fun with so many things that are so easy to do to it, so I've always wanted a project mustang. This is taking that a little further than I would, but I'm glad someone did.

What's the block Ras? I can't make out the writing in the pics - they are too low res.

Well the shop has an all-out drag car for the strip. This is just for fun, for the shows, displays, cruise-ins, and Mustang Week.

The block is an 03-04 Cobra block with ported 4V heads, and an 8-71 blower from theblowershop.com mated to a cobra lower manifold.

I'm excited to see how this turns out because you don't often see a latemodel with massive constructive changes. That, and the car started off as a burned down wreck due to a bad nitrous install, so it's nice to see it revived.

How is the roof being modified?

Cool stuff, it'd be interesting what sort of quarter it turns.
