Funny you should mention it, since the slogan for the DS3 ads is... "ANTI-RETRO"...
well it is, unlike the current Mini and Beetle, not based on the shape of any car that Citroen ever produced.

I'm sure that is precisely their point.

They still should be terminated with fire for calling it DS, and then going to great lenghts to explain that it doesn't have anything to do with the original, though.

Those cars weren't quite so revolutionary, were they?

I'm pretty sure they pretended to benefit from the name, but then the idea backfired so they had to find a solution.

I don't dislike the car, and the DS range could very well turn out to be something very worthy, but still the name was a complete mistake.

and yet they will stick to it, for the upcoming DS4.

Of course they will, I read somewhere that launching a new name costs $10 million or something. I think that actually trying to hide their incompetence when it comes to naming must be much cheaper.

It looks as though Citroen might have lost their nerve...again.

May I present the new C4.

It's the new ZX. Quite disappointing.

While most of the times your posts make sense, you sometimes manage to utter the greatest nonsense on this forum. Quite disappointing.

How about the Honda FCX Clarity? Not because James May reviewed it and Clarkson actually liked it, but because it actually seems reasonable as long as you can get around the hydrogen production issue.

And unlike Tesla, Honda is an actual established company that does not deal in vaporware. That's my major issue with Tesla.

I'm sorry Pieter but it is. It's a bit like the Mk III Focus probably, if the first one hadn't existed this wouldn't be criticised. But since there's a previous C4 between the Xsara and this, it fails to excite.

Maybe the DS4 can spice things up a bit.

You could have called it the new GS. And the DS4 will be a crossover, with nothing hydro on it as well.

It doesn't look at all like the GS. I insist it looks like the new ZX.

    Shame about the crossover thingy.

having the same front and some parts of the hatch does mot really make it look like a ZX, but I have to admit that I was not aware that the ZX was still in production with that shape. But it is a popluar taxi in China. (and sold nowhere else)
