Or Lexus and perhaps something else too, but surely not the largest part of the market or even the cheapest one, also the 1-Series is still the only rwd hatch available, and apparently that will change too.

There also the Datsuns. However Lincoln is sort of top of the range as well.

The Infinities are more Americans than Europeans though.
Lincoln is indeed a bit upmarket, yet there are many rwd American cars at good prices, something we don't get at all. On the other hand they are huge boats in many cases, but that's a whole different story.

Nice discussion going on here. But I think for a thread that deserves to be featured in the Hideout there should be more picture posts. So I will go on (well, there is still so much material on my harddrive to post here but I got a little bored the last few days, sorry)

    FPV (BF MkII) GT (2006-2007)

Slight visual changes. New side-stripe design now with 2 parallel lines in different sizes (bottom large, upper small). I believe the stiched FPV-sign has moved from the headrest to the middle of the frontseats, too.

Maybe our Australian expert fpv_gtho can tell us more about the updates.

    Well, Mustangs, Camaros and Mopars.

We get (or will eventually) 33% of those.

EDIT And the Genesis, nearly forgot. Is that coming to Europe?

My thoughts about the reason why FPV is only sold in Australia. Ford owns more than one factory tuner. And those are specified for certan global regions:

    SVE (Ford's Special Vehicle Engineering):

The European rallye division of Ford Motorsport mainly in the UK founded in the 1963. They built those legendary cars like the Sierra (Sapphire) RS, Escort RS, Focus RS or RS200 in collaboration with Cosworth. It is also called Ford Team RS and they built the following cars, too:

    ST (Sport Technologies):

Part of this distribution, European label co-developed and produced in Germany and the UK: Fiesta (6th gen); Focus (all generations), Mondeo (ST200, ST220).

    SVT (Special Vehicle Team):

American market distribution of tuned US Fords, founded in 1992. Several Mustangs (since S-197 gen with Carrol Shelby Motors), F-150 (Lightning), Contour (US-spec of first gen Mondeo) or Focus (ZX3 gen, European called ST170)

    FPV (Ford Performance Vehicles):

2002 founded in Australia to compete with Holden's (GM Australia) factory tuner HSV, based on Ford Tickford Experience (FTE, 1991)

Maybe this can clear up a little the situation and helps to understand the marketing stretegies of the Ford Motors company.

Forgot to mention that all GT (and GT-P) have limitation number featuring plates in the interior.

FPV (BF MkII) GT 40th Anniversary (2007)

Main feature is the R-Spec suspension developed by Prodrive (co-owner of FPV along with Ford). The cars are given a coat of black paint with a gold Shelby-style stripe package (a la the Hertz Mustangs), GT 40th Anniversary decals aft of the front wheels, "BOSS 290" on the hood's power bulge, R-Spec badging on the rear, and 19" alloys (with red Brembos peeking through the spokes) trimmed in black. Note also the slick detail touches such as the FPV logo that's part of the lower grillework up front. (source: autoblog.com)

    Thanks for all the pictures!
Do you have any shots of the FG models? Specifically in a blue-green/teal color that they make.
EDIT: I believe the color is called "Mystic" by the Ford.
"Kimi, can you improve on your [race] finish?"
"No. My Finnish is fine; I am from Finland. Do you have any water?"

    FPV (BF MkII) GT-P (2006-2007)

If my information is right there are just changes from stock Falcon XR8 BF to update BF MkII and the revised decal pack.

@f6fhellcat13: I have official pics of the FG (Orion) FPV model range. But for these there are already existing threads in here introduced every single one by member WyleECoyote. Besides I wanted to do a chronicle with official (and inofficial) released images concerning the brand FPV. So if anyone wishes to have FG-gen photos in this thread I guess I could repost the images from WyleECoyote (ofcourse in different resolution among with a few that weren't posted already). But basically I like to keep the time order and go on to post the older generation FPV specs at first (well, there are a few left).

For your paintjob wish: I will look what I can find but don't want to promise anything.

Does anyone have a problem with the way I structure my posts (this thread)?

Please, give me some feedback! It could help to increase the quality of my posts.

    Thanks, Ferrer. I appreciate that.

FPV (BF MkII) F6 Typhoon (2006-2007)

High Performance ZF-6-speed automatic (without additional costs) with sequential sport shift featured for the first time available on F6 specs which produce such a massive torque that they became a threat for the weaker transmissions. The former coloured front-foglightframes (now daytime driving lights) are new coloured to anthrazite. The interior is equipped with sport steeringwheel and chromed vents for the air conditioning (for premium feel).

    last 2 pics show:

    FPV
    (BF MkII) F6 Typhoon R-Spec (2007)

It received stiffer "R-Spec" dampers (view #55, page 4), was built 300 times in 2007 and differentiated itself from the "standart" Typhoon with custom 19" wheels with Ardent Dark Silver colour accents also on the spoilers and leather upolstery.

F6 Typhoon R-Spec in red (I guess "Vixen" from Ford Australia) paint. I really like the design of these rims. Look alot times better than the ones mounted on the V8 models.
