Shelby Cobra 427 Roadster:
Oh, i love cobras. they are beautiful cars, with power to boot.
but shit chassis. Carroll Shelby has no clue how to built a chassis. Its kind of pathetic actually. The chassis in a Cobra was designed for a 289 Small block. What happens when you nearly double the horsepower? Yeah, shit handling. They only won because of the power to weight ratio, and they lost in the corners.
I'd still love one though. NOM NOM

The 289 Chassis, was designed in 1953 by portugese John Tojiero, for a two liter Bristol Engine and won many races, even destroyed the famous Ferrari 250 GTO.
The 427 Chassis, designed by Ford, was the typicall american streetcruiser, that won nothing.
That chassis was the only American chassis to win a Le Mans manufacturers championship, in the form of the Le Mans Coupe, to their credit. But it only won because of that insane power to weight ratio.

It was the portugese-english chassis that won
Cobra 427 was never homologated and did only clubraces in the prototype class, without much luck.
