I couldn't care less what others think of me. And it is indeed a great car.

I'm in the same boat. I prefer not being limited to other peoples' definitions of cool or masculine.

They won't give me much for it, and I'm honestly not looking for a higher car payment.... but... I could use something more practical / comfortable than the Z for a DD. I'm 6'1 and can fit perfectly, but the seats, suspension, low-profile tires, etc... is just a bit rough, well, it's a sports car.

My ultimate desire is to buy an old NSX for $30-40K, and a POS daily driver, like a VW GTi or something (JK ). But to do that I first need a garage, hence another house. Things are looking pretty good, I got a very very good promotion at work 3 months ago and the same month my wife started working as a Graphic Designer and is finally pulling in some money... but we are also discussing babies and other shit. So, the Z for now, but considering other options as well.

    The current legacy looks awful.

No... i don't think so. The previous generations were much too bland. I agree that it isn't a very good looking car, but the old one's weren't much better design-wise. In my opinion, bland cars are worse than ugly ones because at least the ugly ones have a personality (not that I'd buy a Legacy anyway).

Actually the old Legacy's looked distinctive and unique like proper Subarus. This new generation they look generic and derivative.

Thankfully, they are still pretty much an engineering-led company.

The only decent looking Liberty model at the moment is the Outback. The slightly raised ride-height plus the non-body coloured plastic mouldings break the design up a bit. That said, it's still not a looker.
