My first car

Well, I have spent the last few weeks on search for my first car because my father has just announced that he wants to pay it for me I wasn't prepared for that but instantly started searching within the borders he had set: maximum of 60 hp, under 500 bucks, subcompact and new HU (this means that the car was recently taken to the driveability/ mechanics test which you have to do all two years in Germany).
After searching, there weren't many cars left: the ones I've found are listed below (sadly, it doesn't include a Commodore )

3. Citroen AX 1.0 (1992)

The problem is that I don't knwo which one is the best. I need a rather reliable car that won't make much problems, but i still want to have *some* fun with the car i drive (I know that the hp number limits the fun a lot, but still...). So I'm asking you: which one would be the best?

Atleast the cars are light enough to make up for the lack of power.

I'd be tempted for the 106, Purely because I think they're a bit cute.

all those choices suck. Buy yourself an original NA Miata (they're cheap as hell), and learn how to drive skillfully. It is THE beginner sports car. Gas mileage won't be an issue and I doubt the insurance will kill you either.

out of these the Peugeot seems to be the best option. However, if you have to buy anything below 500 Euro, be prepared to spend some money on additional maintenance. In that area the Alto might be a good alternative.

However, see if you can find a Sporting version with the 1100cc engine for the budget. It's still only 54bhp.

I'd probably opt for the 106 too. The Seiscento would be good to, but like Ferrer said, the sporting.

And how about a UNO?

Choose whatever is the most modern and with the least KM. They're all likely to have been rooted to within an inch of their lives.

I agree with this. In this class of cars its not really a question of performance or preference, because as far as I'm concerned they're all strictly commuters and nothing that you'd brag to your friends about, so pick a few to get checked out, and take the one that appears to have been the least thrashed. It makes the most sense.
