actually not they were ment for the people like that La Gombe

all my cars are not restored, but they are stored inside a dry barn, so they dont get any worse,
and if someone want to buy one of my 3 unrestored cars, I wouldnt say no.
I would only be happy to see it go to a good home
I sold one of my projects last year, knowing that I could have made much more money once finished,
but I would rather "miss out" on all the work and get cash there & then

It is really awesome that your library has back issues of Car and Driver.

Do they have the complete set?

More or less; it goes back to late 1970s-early 1980s. Unlike the Road and Tracks on the adjacent shelf, these are actually read by people as evidenced by missing pages and even issues here and there. But all in all, it's nice to reread the magazine articles I glossed over as a child and see what happened to all that future tech and people (SAAB's variable-valve timing that physically moved the cylinder head or something like that).

Great source for a potential shopping list once time-travel has been invented.

A lot of the people who let their cars or other valuables rot are the ones who say "Well I'm planning on restoring it someday, when I have more time." And then you ask them how long they've had it and planned that and they say "Uh...35 years." Well chances are if you haven't gotten started on it in the last 35 years, you won't in the next 35 either. Sell it to someone who will.
