Same as every racer , find another job
The family restaurant is still there and woudl still be attractive for holidayers but definately NOT in the volumes at the moment. But it's not a huge place anyway

Does sound as if your friend was talking with NO information and making the assumption that the 'Ring will go on forever and PROBABLY not aware that they are already being forced to do things by "neighbours" that show less willingness by locals to have as much noise and disruption Running "rock concerts" isn't helping !!

On the noise issue....my home track is Road Atlanta and over the years as Atlanta keeps sprawling outward... the track has become surrounded with new upper-middle class neighborhoods.

It doesn't see the kind of year around traffic that the 'ring does but I wouldn't be surprised if some day soon it gets a lot of pressure to close.

Of course ALMS being the sinking ship that it is there may not be many more ten hour races for the nearby occupants to listen too.

    Referring to Jean Py .
He bought himself into Pescarolo only to split it apart to make some easy money. (kinda like Wall Street 1)

    6700something...
If the Nürburgring dies, some politicians will certainly loose their jobs. But i don't think the 'Ring will go down...
    At least I hope so.

And if it do, someone will pick it right up and continue .
Sometimes, it's best to let something "die" just to revive it from a clean sheet.
    Again, like Pescarolo.

hard to understand what you're asking.
As this is an international forum and has a wide membership can you please be clearer.

Guessing the sms-speak ( and even then not right ) then NO there are not better facilities. If you read the various links you'll see it's deserted massive building with little real motorsport heritage and in many cases RUINING the classic stuff to replace with modern marketing and their more costs are coming on the 'Ring because they can't run the rest profitably. THus the proposal to seperate the Ring-Werk fluff from the real motorsport parts.

Better find ways to protest if you liek the 'Ring, because it's now OFFICIAL that makers are leaving

Pirelli have confirmed they will NOT pay the higher fees demanded and will leave

Reifenhersteller Pirelli verlässt Industriepool des Nürburgrings - volksfreund.de

the first car companies retire from the Nürburgring?
The privately run Automotive GmbH has confirmed to the Rhine newspaper that the tire manufacturer Pirelli no longer "will participate in the industry pool". Reasons not disclosed.
Rumors are circulating that the British company Aston Martin and German marque Mercedes are to leave.
"It is unknown us", said Stefanie Hohn, the press officer of Automotive GmbH.
The control center of the industry pool was not available for comment. There have been fears that prominent companies could look for a different test track. Around 40 companies of the automotive industry that have booked the Nordschleife for several weeks a year to test products are present in the industry pool.
