    Congrats Cmcpokey!

Wow, triplets. What on earth are you gonna name them all? It's hard enough thinking of one name

    CMCPokeyx3 it seems.

Congrats to you and Mrs McBain-Key. Awesome news.

What you need is something that hauls but maintains your street cred. Heaven knows those kids will need some form of Automotive education.

lol to all, and thanks to all. 3 names will be a challenge, but we are making some headway. we will get more serious about it as we find out sexes, and as time moves on. she is still relatively early on.

as far as the car situation.... we went to a dealer type car show last weekend to see what would work. Cameron got it mostly right when he mentioned the kids, their stuff, and the dog. also think that there is a triplet stroller, 3 car seats, 3 pack-n-plays, and three of everything you need with a baby. that means not just a 3rd row, but storage behind that third row, and preferebl fold down/up 2nd row to get the kids strapped in in the way back. the 5 was too small, most of the wagons were too small. the minivans were really good, though i hate them, but it looks like we will get one for the wife. i refuse to drive one, so a large SUV makes the most sense, and the Armada was the nicest and best laid out one I looked at. a return to sportscars will happen, but only after they can walk and will fit in a back seat sans car seat. oh, and i will keep my RX-7 for the me time.

and Pieter, as I said in my opening post, I was supposed to go to Japan following my stint at school in RI, but I have now tried to change that to San Diego. And it isn't so much the easy access to Monterey, but also easy access for my and my wife's family to visit and help out. For sure, I will miss this years car week, but maybe the following year I can get away from the grind.

Big congratulations on both finishing school and imminent parenthood, Pokey. Hopefully 3-at-a-time EVERYTHING won't be too much of a shock, but expect some hiccups. Both of you will need all the understanding and support you can muster for one another.

WOW ! Well done on all fronts

Good luck for the future and no sports car for you till the kids are ready to drive and ask for one each

    Triplets !!!!! Yeah.
Maybe we can give you ideas for names .... Alpine, Matra (Matt) and Suzuki (Suzi)

All I can say is watch out for the cravings in her third trimester and you're gonna have to practice the nappy changing to get it done quick with three demanding.

    Just checked your FB too!

Congrats man! Triplets is insane!! Don't you have a Mazda CX-7? or CX-9?

If the RX7 goes for sale let me know! I have a buddy that might be VERY interested in it.

No minivan don't do it!! There are many SUV's out there. Check out the GMC Acadia, very big, very nice. I'm sure you can find something.

    Good luck!

totally concur. it has already led to a good bit of stress, but this is just something else to get through. we have been through a lot, and while i am sure it will be hard for a few years (or 20) i am also sure that it will be the best thing that has ever happened to me.

nah, just until they are a little bigger and dont need to cart around a ton of crap and car seats.

RX stays with me. We currently have a CX-7, the CX-9 is nice, but its actually not the best for what it is. the big SUVs are good, and thats what I will get, but to get what my wife wants in an SUV would be hugely expensive (50k+, i make good money, but not that good), and terrible fuel economy which is something that matters for her.

Got to be Jackie and Jim ( Stewart/Clark ) then

PS: I thought that I'd be back in performance cars soon, 14 years of hell in medocrity and people carriers

But at least you'll ahve the RX for "fun" !!!!

Jim is out because it is too popular (James), Jackie, i dont know. coupling names with the last name Key is tricky. Hence Stirling is out.

No probs, we're all moving towards a keyless future anyway.
Life's too short to drive bad cars.
