Why is the Max Power between these two Scooters so different?

The first one says it has 10.5kw at 7000rpm. (170cc) This is equal to another 250cc Scooter I saw.

The second one says it has 7.5kw at 7500rpm. (150cc) Why the big difference? Surely 20cc can't make that much of a difference.

Also, how does the difference in KW effect the driving experience?

They both cost around the same as well. You think the provider could be lying?

Better engine tuning? If I remember correctly, Rolls Royce Silver Shadows were only getting 190 hp out of almost 7000cc engines.
I'm dropping out to create a company that starts with motorcycles, then cars, and forty years later signs a legendary Brazilian driver who has a public and expensive feud with his French teammate.

Probably a tuning thing, possibly the bigger one maybe is tuned for better fuel. Also I notice it has an oil cooler on it, so presuming the other one doesn't, that'll allow for running it harder. Higher compression and what not.

Ahh awesome thanks, I didn't know that. So which one would accelerate faster?

I mean there is a 40kg difference in weight.

Edit: Sorry I was thinking of this Scooter when I said 40 kg.

Odd though, that Scooter has a GY7 and the other has a GY6.

Watch the weights - one specifies dry weight, one doesn't say wet, kerb or dry.. so the difference might not be as much as 40 kgs. It's hard to pick from a website which would be the better performer, but I'd hazard a guess that the extra power on the heavier steed would probably be noticable. You'll also find it more stable in a crosswind, which is always welcome. On the other hand, lighter will be more nimble and easier on rougher streets so that's something to keep in mind too. On the flip side of that flip side, the lighter one probably has smaller wheels, which is again worse on rough roads.
