    What race is this from!?

    Hello.
I have a question, that would make a great little quiz for all Sports car lovers.
I have bought a poster from Gulf, which features 2x Porsche 917's 1x Ferrari 512 and a Alfa Romeo (same class as the 917 and 512).
One of the Porsches carries #9 and is in Gulf colours.
The other one is white'ish (the poster is in black and white) and carries #11.
    The 512 carries #1.

Which race is this picture from!?
(i do not know the answer)

    Cheers

COudl it be from the Le Mans movie ?
McQueen's 917 was in Gulf colours for that. A google shoudl confirm the numbers.

OK, next guess ? How about Brands 1970 BOAC 1000km ?
The Gulf 917 ran #9 and #10 and chekcking back a Ferrari ran #1

but this will be so much easier if you can post an image -- even a crappy phone one will help

The Alfa Romeo can't be in the same class than the 917 and 512.

The poster from the race doesn't look like the one he described. However the cars match.

It could also be the 1970 Monza 1000km.

^^^ good point, if you cant get the photo of it then at least give us a descrption.
I've assumed it's NOT a race poster for the obvious reason.
    But any other markings/anything ?

The Alfa is likely to be a Alfa Romeo T33/3

hah, I got fooled, because I first saw the picture and then the rest of the comments...until I saw the "flug" on the right side.

DOH! Didn't even notice the FLUG !

It was Ferrer's reply that made me go "no, the curve of the track is wrong and the pits are on the wrong side" ... THEN I saw the "9"

Here's a shot from a few seconds earlier with a couple of Matras hiding in there
