    Favorite motorsports

Okay this is my first thread and today I pose a question to the people of UCP. The question is: What is your favorite form of motor sports (past or present) and why? Feel free to post pictures.
My favorite motor sports is Can-Am because of the outrageous design and the new ideas that were constantly pushing the envelope. My favorite car is the Chaparral 2J because of the snowmobile engines used for sucking the air from underneath the car.

I really love going on Youtube and watching 90's British Touring Car races. Best racing and most impatient drivers ever! Endurance racing in general too, i look forward to the Daytona, Le Mans, Nurburgring and Bathurst 24s every year

I recently became a fan of BTCC because of the way they drive. In no other motorsports can you bump and bang a guy and then congratulate him after a race. And endurance racing is a big deal for me and my dad.

Rallying. Back when it was a motorsport.

Endurance/Sportscar racing and touring car racing are a joint second.

we used to watch rally all the time until cable companies started charging extra to get the one channel with it. I'm still a fan of Loeb though

endurance racing, and of course vintage motorsport, not for the results but for the outrageous and truly historic machinery that makes a regular appearence there.

Along with Cavallino in January, off the top of my head there's SVRA and HSR events in December and February at PBIR, SVRA Sebring Historics the same weekend as the 12 Hour, HSR's Sebring Historics October 13-16 and Daytona Continental Historic Races, Nov 10-13. Brian Redman usually hosts the Targa 66 event at PBIR in February. Usually something (or two) at Homestead... and IIRC Bobby Rahal
hosts a big meet at Sebring, too.

I was going to say vintage racing too but all of those cars also once raced in various series in the past

F1 for me, because I've followed it for so long

and because it arguably has some of the best onboard videos of any motorsports out there

I'm not really into motor sport or sport of any kind, although when I was in Bathurst a few years back I drove around Mount Panorama a couple of times (when the races aren't on, it's open as a public road). I do like going to car shows where there are a lot of old cars on display, but that could hardly be called sport....

Vintage racing where you can walk through the paddock could count for that.

I've long been a rallying fan, but it's a shadow of its former self at this point. GT/touring car/endurance racing is also a favourite.
Life's too short to drive bad cars.
