    Outrageous ad

I was looking through the latest Auto Locator magazine for my area while i was on break at work when i ran across something thoroughly outrageous and thought you guys would get a kick out of. The ad is for a 1994 Alfa Spider Veloce, it's another sh*tty cell phone pic but if you squint you can read that it's got 77,000 miles, a hard top, power windows and it needs work. Pretty typical ad until you get to the bottom line and see the loon wants $100,000 firm for it!

More likely a typical Auto Locator typo... but still, even $10K is optimistic for a ratty '90s Alfa.

That doesn't even looks like a late Series 3, more a Series 2 Spider.

too right. any alfa that doesn't have a racing pedigree is a piece of junk to me. maybe if he offered it for like 5K someone would bite.

Perhaps the Mrs. is forcing him to sell it so he puts some outrageous price to discourage anyone from buying it?
I'm dropping out to create a company that starts with motorcycles, then cars, and forty years later signs a legendary Brazilian driver who has a public and expensive feud with his French teammate.

Same car a week later with a $99,000 price slash, $1000 firm makes it seem like a must sell and if so then why be firm about it?

i'm sure he could get away with $2500, mostly rednecks read the Auto Locator around here though so they prolly don't even know what an Alfa is

So more than 90 weeks, until the car can be sold...
