Old school, I'd probably go for a Jaguar Mark II Saloon. Very much the gangsters car in it's day (or so I'm led to believe).

New school? That's a bit tougher. I think a black Rover 75 with heavily tinted windows would fit the bill rather nicely. Particularly with the 'new' V8 in it.

Failing that, the default Range Rover sounds about right I think.

nice choice, but i would go with one of two cars (depending on time period). The best vintage gangster car is a 1934 Ford Roadster. The Best new one is a 1996 Mercedes S 500

if i were the japanese yakuza clan boss, i would ride in some hi-po jap grey car, matte black, no chrome wheels not a single shine, just black, perhaps a supra or something like that. really meatty car.. WIDE rear flares etc. remove the wing etc... and all my little henchmen can ride suzuki hayabusa's!!
