Here's another one...maybe this is common on FWD cars, so forgive my ignorance, I have little experience on them...

I was rotating the tyres on the Echo a couple of weeks ago. Trans is in P, so I think nothing of jacking the front end up. But come time to yard on the lug wrench, they both necessitated a wheel chock, as they both turned. Kind of made me scratch my head. If I had known that I would have only jacked up enough for the wheels to touch the ground and halt their motion.

I'm not good with autos, but doesn't P lock the gearbox and drive wheels?

I think it only locks the gearbox.. was the other wheel rotating in the opposite direction?
Life's too short to drive bad cars.

Ford has made some excellent bodywork which makes sure it will rust from the inside out. When you open the trunk in the rain the water will run on your stuffs in the back and into the bodywork on the rear arch. There it gets stuck and will slowly eat away your beloved ride... If I made a design like that they'd kill me here

Dunno, I didn't watch. I had one eye on what I was doing, and the other on a 2-year-old who is a professional troublemaker.
