Depends on track, I have a lot of problem racing on SSR5, between the darkness and the street lights its very disorienting in GT5. I usually just change the TV mode from "Normal" to "Vivid" or something and boost all the level up so it looks like a day race.

I have astigmatism also, maybe that has something to do with it, though my glasses should help with that. In real driving I am ok in the day and ok when its completely dark and my headlights are working, but in those twilight hours when its dark but headlights are not so bright to be defined, I have a hard time in those time...

However, let's not forget true night races (that's NOT the F1 one's), are very dark. Just see the pre LED Le Mans onboard laps.
Oh yes, I crank up the brightness all the way and I just barely see it sometimes. Like RacingManiac said, it's especially bad on SSR5 because there technically are streetlamps but they're useless. On courses like the Nurburgring I would totally understand if it's too dark to see anything.

I agree, SSR5 is far too dark, especially since there are streetlamps.

    Pretty cool stuff!

I want RUF to do a 918 just so I can drive it in GT.

Has anyone heard about whether it is true that 5 months from now they will shut down online support of GT5 to force people to buy GT6 to play online?

I haven't heard that, but I did notice that they stopped putting up seasonal races last time I played GT5, which was Saturday last week. Coming from Polyphony, I can see them doing that.

They are stopping online feature for GT5 in May:
End of the Road for GT5, Servers Closing May 20th

Not unusual, most console game does this....

GT6 is less than $40 now...

Wow, that's pretty quick, especially when there isn't a GT game out for the PS4 yet.

That's the one thing I hate about consoles these days, when they close down servers it's not really the same game anymore. You'd be okay if you picked up GT4 and started playing on the PS2, but pick up a GT5 game and they probably won't even support downloading the patches they put out later.

Despite the fictional nature of the driving experience(since FT-1 isn't a real car), its still kinda cool that they do this:

Is the 2000GT a standard or premium car?

Looks cool. I don't think I have time to play it so I'll pass on it for now.

    Welcome to UCP!

Nice of Gran Turismo to honor Mr. Senna like this.

There is another cool addition to GT6, the BMW Vision Gran Turismo.

Not sure if it's a DLC add on or not. Looks like you can win it for free though.

I don't own the game- can someone tell me if there is DLC or not in GT6?

Not yet. So far all the added content happened in the form of updates to the game. Which is good and bad, since they are literally "finishing" the game as they go...but it is free so...

Data logger has been added in the game 2 updates ago, and also for people with those GPS logger unit in some cars thats GT compatible(special edition GT86 in Japan I think) can import data to the game if they went to tracks that game has data for.

Also track has been added like Apricot Hill, which was a GT staple. Some graphical updates, some physics update, Multiplayer has been beefed up a bit with more options for races.

Gran Turismo 6 v1.09 Update Arrives Includes Red Bull Ring and More

Also since the last post, Senna's Kart, F3 car and Lotus F1 car has been added, along with 80s layout(and only layout since the track objects are still modern) of Monza and Brands Hatch were added. Also GT Academy has come and gone. Mitsubishi and BMW's Vision GT has been added.

1.09 Brings Red Bull Ring(aka A1-Ring aka Ostereichring) in 2 layout to GT6. Also added 2012 Toyota TS030 Hybrid, Lexus IS-F CCRS(or something) N24 car, team RJN GTR GT3 car, and VW's Vision GT GTI roadster. Also included is a pretty serious physics overhaul.
