I don't know if good or bad, but at least we will be able to sample it...

It'll probably be good, and Ford will sell a bunch -- but having seen a couple up close, I still don't like the way it looks.

I actually much prefer it. It looks more lithe and athletic and even with the facelift, the basic 2005 shape of the S-197 was getting old.

I am a little curious when it comes to the GT350 power plant by SVT. The latest rumor is that they found a way to make a flatplane V8 big enough for the car without the need for balance shafts.

As for the styling, I find the interior rather silly; a speedometer that has "GROUND SPEED IN MPH" written on it? The exterior looks much smaller on pictures, and the car itself is physically bigger than its predecessor.

Does it really say "GROUND SPEED IN MPH"?

God, this is, how can I put it elegantly, pathetic.

Thank you, yes, it is, indeed, pathetic. I have quite a few friends, who are Mustang fanboys, and I can't find a single one who dislikes the S550.

Supposedly the design team wanted to push the car toward its original namesake, the P51 Mustang. Almost done with the design, somebody in the higher up Ford circles looked at it, and said "no, this is silly, make it more Mustang". So they did, but not without keeping some of the aeronautical theme.

    Allow me to demonstrate:

    Oh god.

On the other hand, I like the rocker switches.

    Is that bad?

Yes the GT350 will be one wicked ride, but I can't wait to see the 2016 Mach 1

amazing thatthey keep using those 45-50 year old type designations. A real GT350 is probably now more than 6 times the price of a new one though.

True, but I'm just SO tired of the Bullitt.....Ford has done it to death, bring back some other iconic rides..............MACH1 for sure!! Even the legendary Boss 429 would be awesome!!

After copying the style of the classic-era muscle cars reusing names is the least of their problems.

Apparently, according to some German sources, the 4 cylinder Ecoboost will cost 34 grand the V8-engined GT model 39 grand.

That puts it in about the same price bracket as a Golf GTI Performance and a 228i Coupé.

    Things are looking good.

Altough for some reason it seems the turbo four only does 234km/h
