It's OK that we're not getting the manual, as apparently it's not very good.

Which is somehow more disappointing than not getting a good one.

So if the manual is not being sold in Europe or North America, where else could they possibly sell it?

    The Isle of Man?

Manual gearbox IS available in Europe.

It is the right hand drive markets like UK and Australia, that are restricted to automatic option only.

AR just can't be bothered to re-engineer the stick-shift to make it work with RHD cars.

    Ah ok.

From what I know, manufacturers need to crash and certify multiple cars per transmission choice, which makes manual transmissions less and less attractive to them.

    Very Alfa Romeo-ish...

Anyway, the more reviews I see, the more I want one.

And then there's the TI, USDM equivalent to the EDM Veloce, altough it is available with both rear or four wheel drive.

It is also available only with the 280bhp turbo engine (the same as the base Giulia in the US).

Giulia GTA: the momentous return of an Alfa Romeo legend

    • 110 years after its foundation, Alfa Romeo returns to its roots, bringing back one of the legends of its history and of motoring in general: Giulia GTA.
    • The new Giulia GTA is technically and conceptually inspired by the Giulia GTA of 1965: the “Gran Turismo Alleggerita” developed by Autodelta based on the Giulia Sprint GT that racked up sporting successes worldwide.
    • Based on Giulia Quadrifoglio, Giulia GTA is fitted with a more powerful version of the Alfa Romeo 2.9 V6 Bi-Turbo engine, now with 540 hp.
    • With its extensive use of ultra-light materials, it benefits from a weight reduction of 100 kg compared to the Giulia Quadrifoglio, achieving a best-in-class weight/power ratio of 2.82 kg/hp.
    • Specific technical solutions have also been developed for aerodynamics, setup and handling.
    • Spotlight also on the Giulia GTAm, an extreme 100% “street legal” version of the GTA, characterized by two racing seats, roll bar and 6-point safety belts.
    • Alfa Romeo is now accepting pre-booking for Giulia GTA and GTAm, available in only 500 certified, numbered units in total. Lucky buyers will receive an exclusive customer experience, with one-to-one sales process and dedicated experience package.

It's a shame they sell bad here. Every time i see one, even in normal trim, I love it.
