‘Verily, shall we see its munificent power,’ noted one report. ‘Which we understand is around 365bhp.’

‘Our father, who art in Munchen, hallowed by thy name,’ stated another online story. ‘Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from e-diff. For blown is the engine, the power and the glory, forever and ever. Ah-M.’

‘The M2 lives to save us from our sins,’ said industry expert Ian Dustreaex-Pert. ‘And for our sins it will be murdered, probably by car journalists who will eventually stop masturbating over it, probably to complain that the steering isn’t very good, the damping isn’t quite right, and the whole car feels too heavy.’

    That man is gold.

There will be apologists for it even if it sucks. Will it? Probably not. However, the 1M really seemed to be something else, and the 2 hasn't exactly set the world on fire. The press may fawn over it too much to get an accurate review.

25 pounds lighter than an M4.

    Wat.

3400 lbs!?!?(/whatever that is in useful units) Ok hellz, I think I may be joining your side: cars are too damn fat now.

1542 kg, that's too heavy in my opinion.

    Winnar!

    1,550,000 grams

That's absurd as the car is usefully shorter than the M4. Are we seeing the holes in BMW's 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 ... 987,342, 987,343-Series plan for market coverage? Is this the fallacy of the German's market umbrella strategy? As much as they try to distinguish their cars, economies of scale do not allow them to actually be any different.
"Kimi, can you improve on your [race] finish?"
"No. My Finnish is fine; I am from Finland. Do you have any water?"
