Four track-ready supercars headed for auction ...
A relatively recent trend is that of race-ready supercars that are not built for any particular series but for special track day events. Four of these have been consigned to this weekend's RM Sotheby's Abu Dhabi sale.
The earliest and most valuable is this Ferrari FXX K. Based on the LaFerrari, this track-day machine has a hybrid drivetrain that is good for well over 1,000 bhp. The consigned example has never been used in the dedicated Ferrari Corse Clienti XX Programme, and is estimated to sell for over $4 million.
McLaren have jumped on the same band wagon with 'GTR' versions of their supercars. Entered in the auction are virtually brand-new examples of both the P1 GTR ($2.2 - 2.4 million) and Senna GTR ($1.5 - 1.75 million).
The most recent machine of the four is the mighty Porsche 911 GT2 RS Clubsport. Also with zero miles on the odometer, this particular example is liveried in the legendary Rothmans colours used by the Porsche Group C cars during the 1980s.

If you should see a man walking down a crowded street talking aloud to himself, don't run in the opposite direction, but run towards him, because he's a poet. You have nothing to fear from the poet - but the truth.
