Bonhams have released the very first consignment of their Greenwich Concours d'Elegance Auction; a beautifully preserved Porsche 718 RSK Spyder. It was raced in period with great success by Bob Holbert, who won with this car at the Bahamas Speed Week among other races. Chassis 718-031 joined the stable of the vendor during the early 1970s, so it will be offered for sale for the first time nearly half a century.
A Porsche of an altogether different nature is this fire-belching 935 JLP-2. Using a bare shell supplied by Porsche, it was built up to Kremer K3 specifications by the JLP Racing team in the United States. It was raced successfully during the 1980 season by the team before it was superseded by the even more extreme JLP-3. The JLP-2 was raced by subsequent owner Marty Speer through to the 1984 season. Meticulously restored, the car is now owned and raced by a French enthusiast.
One of the last cars to break cover that should have been launched at Geneva is this APEX AP-0 Concept.A preview of the production version due in 2022, the AP-0 is an all-electric sports car that combines a 649 bhp drivetrain with a kerb weight of just 1,200 kg. When it will be available for sale, the APEX AP-0 will cost around GBP 150,000 plus local taxes.
