Now that the dust has settled after last month's Retromobile, we have today taken a closer look at four Italian sports cars that starred at the show. One of the absolute highlights was this Ferrari 330 P4. The second of three examples built in period of this achingly beautiful machine, it was raced at Monza, Le Mans and Brands Hatch before being updated to Can-Am specification. In more recent years, chassis 0858 was restored to its original configuration. Shown on the same display was this Ferrari 166 MM Touring Le Mans Berlinetta, which was raced in the Mille Miglia three times. It was completely restored over the last 20 years.
Revealed by Lamborghini Polo Storico, was this Miura SV/J. Built for a German racing driver, it was one of half a dozen finished in this high performance specification. The SV/J has survived in remarkably original condition and was just carefully reconditioned by Lamborghini's restoration department.
Virtually impossible to miss was this Maserati MC12 Corsa. It is the eighth of 12 of these MC12-based track-day specials. Offered by Girardo, the Corsa retains its original, instantly recognisable orange colour-scheme.
