The Hudson Big Six is a series of six-cylinder automobiles produced by the Hudson Motor Car Co. in Detroit in 1935. This was the first six-cylinder model after the setting of the Greater Hudson in 1930 and at the same time the "entry-level model" of this year.
Its chassis had a wheelbase of 2,946 mm. The MODEL GH had a in-line six-cylinder engine with side-mounted valves with 3,474 cm3 displacement (bore stroke = 76.2 mm x 127 mm) and an output of 93 bhp (68.4 kW) at 3,800 rpm. The engine power was transferred via a single-disc oil bath clutch to a three-speed transmission (with center gear) and then to the rear wheels. The mechanical brakes applied to all four wheels. Automatic coupling or semi-automatic pre-selection gearboxes were available as optional equipment.
There were different body styles, mostly with 2 doors. But a 4-door sedan was also available.
In 1936, the Hudson Custom Six replaced this model.
