Today, we celebrate wing Wednesday with two sports cars that wear their massive rear wing with great pride. The earliest of this pair is this Porsche 934. It was one of the very first examples produced and has a contemporary racing history that ran from 1976 through to the end of the 1989. During this period, it was modified to meet the particular needs of the successive owners. Following its incredibly long career, chassis 930 670 0161 was eventually restored by Kremer Racing during the early 2010s. At that point, it was chosen to configure the car to 934/5 specification as used by Mandy Gonzales during the early 1980s. It has since been raced in historic events and was more recently consigned to British dealer William I'Anson.
Boasting an even bigger rear wing is the Apollo Intensa Emozione supercar launched a couple of years ago. The wild machine combines a sophisticated carbon-fibre composite monocoque with a modified 6.3-litre Ferrari V12 engine that produces a staggering 780 bhp. Production has started late in 2019, and the first two of ten Intensa Emoziones have already been delivered to their respective owners.
