With the Pebble Beach Auctions delayed, Gooding & Co. have ramped the company's private treaty sales department. Two of the latest additions to the private treaty line-up are two very original Porsches that were part of the same collection for five decades.
First up is this lovely Porsche 904 Carrera GTS, which was originally delivered to an Italian gentleman racer. He campaigned the car in select events, before selling it on and by 1969, it joined the stable of Leslie Gunnarson, from California. He used the car on the road extensively before parking 904-044 is his garage. Still in highly original condition, complete with the matching number engine, it is now offered for sale on the public market for the first time since the 1960s.
In 1969, Gunnarson also added this 356 Speedster to his collection. It was also driven on the road regularly for three decades. At some point a later engine was fitted but other than that, 80753 is offered in a time-warp condition.
