One of the most interesting cars consigned to this week's online-only RM Sotheby's Europe Sale is this RUF CTR2 Sport. Bids are due to close on Thursday and the high bid at the time of writing is just €320,000, which is well shy of the €640,000 bottom estimate. The car on offer is the first of 16 CTR2 Sports built by RUF using the wide-body 993-generation Porsche 911 as the base. Although fully road legal, it was raced extensively, finishing second in class at the 1997 Pikes Peak hill-climb. The car is currently in Germany with only its second private owner.
Newly re-established company ATS Automobili have expanded their line-up with this Corsa RR Turbo. Based on the road car launched a few years ago, the latest machine from the Italian company is more track oriented. It is powered by a Honda-based, two-litre turbo engine that produces 600bhp. That is more than sufficient to give this 800kg machine hugely impressive performance figures. Complying with FIA GT homologation, the RR Turbo can be campaigned in a variety of events including the German VLN Championship and the 24h Series.
