A few months after launching the GTI, Volkswagen have now revealed the Golf GTI Clubsport. It is powered by a reworked version of the familiar turbocharged four-cylinder engine, which now produces just shy of 300 bhp. This power is transferred to the front wheels through the dual-clutch seven-speed automatic gearbox. The Clubsport also has a further refined drivetrain that has been honed on the Nürburgring.
BMW have re-introduced the 'ti' or Turismo Internazionale badge for the 128ti. This hot hatch is fitted with a two-litre engine that is good for 261 bhp. It also features re-tuned suspension and special cosmetic options.
The Bentley Flying Spur range has been expanded with a new 'entry-level' V8 version. With 542 bhp on tap, the twin-turbo V8 still provides sufficient power to get the big Bentley going. An added advantage is that the Flying Spur V8 is a full 100 kg lighter than the W12-powered model.
