On Wednesday, the National Convention and Exhibition Center in Shanghai, China will open its physical doors for the 2021 edition of Auto Shanghai. It is the first major motor show since the Covid19 pandemic ground the world to a halt. Today, we take a look at five of the show and production cars due to make their debut this week.
Audi have this A6 e-tron Concept on display. It serves a preview of the first all-electric A6 and features a pair of electric motors. They have a combined output of 469 bhp in this configuration, while the A6 e-tron will have a range of over 700 km.
Also offering a glimpse into the future of their electric and hybrid powertrains are Toyota, Honda and Lincoln with the bZ4X Concept, SUV erototype and Zephyr Reflection. Each of these should be followed by a production model that will be offered in the crucial Chinese market.
Already ready to go is the Maserati Levante Hybrid. It is equipped with the same, two-litre turbocharged engine that is combined with a mild hybrid system. The maximum power that is transferred to all four wheels is 326 bhp. Despite the size and weight of the Levante Hybrid, it can accelerate to 100 km/h in just six seconds.
