Five years after the show car was launched, Mercedes-AMG are finally ready to reveal the production One. Still powered by a V6 internal combustion engine from the successful Formula 1, it is also boasts several electric motors. The combined output of all elements is a startling 1,048 bhp while the V6 revs to 11,000 rpm. The Mercedes-AMG One is due to make its debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
Toyota Gazoo Racing have been very busy, producing two further iterations of the Corolla. The first is the GR Corolla RZ, which is the Japanese specification version of the GR Corolla developed for the North American market and launched earlier this year. Also breaking cover is the rather more extreme Morizio Edition. It has the rear seats removed to have the weight lowered, a reinforced shell and also has an engine that produces slightly more torque. The third GR Toyota announced this week was the GR 86 Cup, which was developed specifically for an SRO sanctioned one-make series in North America. Due to kick off during the 2023 season, the inaugural GR Cup will feature 14 events.
