We spent the final weekend of the summer holidays not quite on but near the French Riviera to capture the annual Dix Mille Tours at the Circuit Paul Ricard. Held without public in 2020 and not at all in 2021, it was great to see the event return and with 15,000 strong crowd this time around. These spectators were treated to action from all the familiar Peter Auto grids from the Fifties Legends right through the Endurance Racing Legends. What was particularly spectacular was the Sixties' Endurance race, which was treated to a spectacular sunset. There was great racing throughout the weekend with well over 300 historic racing cars take to the track. It was hard work for the drivers and mechanics with scorching temperatures but the rate of attrition during the races was remarkably low.
We kept going as well without fault with this 200-shot gallery as a result. It serves to illustrate this concise report.
