Yes. My friend's father used to own one. (At least I think it was a VR-4... I can't remember the exact letter/number combo)

You're right, VR4 is the correct designation.

Adperrak, what's your email address. I can't seem to send you a private message. I am in the market for a second hand car, either Gallardo, F430, or Modena. Since you have a Gallardo, you must have done your homework, wanted to check with you before making a decision. I am not so concerned with performance, we never really push most sports cars to the limit anyway.

    To ANYONE...

What kind of image does the F430 vs Gallardo project. How about more practical things, like boot space for golf bag (heard Ferrari can fit 2 bags behind the seat maybe a cargo bag too?, scratches (do people scratch your car?, Lambo seems more eye catching. Also colour... Yellow seems too common. Lime Green, Light Blue? Orange (too common)?

Anyone else any opinions on Lambo vs Ferrari. The Modena seems like a good deal on the second-hand market? So in terms of dollars and cents, does it make sense to pay a bit more for a F430? or Modena is better value? In my country the Gallardo and F430 cost about the same. On the second hand market, the Modena is about 20-30% cheaper.

For me? '59 Chebby, '58 Cadillac or Chebby, '56 Oldsmobile or Ford, '55 Buick, '54 DeSoto, '49-'53 Hudson Hornet, 49-'50 Mercury, '29 A-bone roadster rod...the list goes on. If I had an auto loan, these would all be entirely affordable for me.

If you want practical, buy a Toyota.
Both will cost shitloads of money to fix.
I'm dropping out to create a company that starts with motorcycles, then cars, and forty years later signs a legendary Brazilian driver who has a public and expensive feud with his French teammate.

    KOTR another pointless statement.

I believe the F430 has more space and is a better everyday driver than the gallardo.
Not a fan of the modena, should opt for a GT2 Porsche if you go down that path.

so that when you wreck it, you will be unable to drive/ride again?

i'd say your luck would point you in the other direction from a motorcycle

Good lord man, if your wreckless enough to crash FIVE cars before you're even 19 what chance do you think you have of handling a sportsbike?! A powerful bike requires 10 times as much skill and restraint as your average car. And the consequences of falling off a bike are MUCH more severe than shunting a car. You're unlikely to get away with five crashes on a fast bike and live to tell the tale like you can in a car. If you're foolish enough to crash five cars before you're 19 you'll be dead by the time you're 20 on a crotch-rocket like that.

I suggest spending your money on some more driving lessons.

A dream car that's now in my reach is probably a Mk I Golf GTI. Altough I don't know how could I maintain it...
