There's only ever been on RS6, so I'm guessing that's what you saw. Was it a saloon or estate? Both look amazing but the Saloon is what I prefer, the flared wheelarches seem to be more prominent on that.

it was a saloon.. very nice looking, although if i were to have something that fast, i woudl want it to stand out a bit more. i almost missed it, and other than the badges it was virtually indistinguishable from a normal A6

Indeed I agree. There's nothing better that knowing the car you have underneath without the others noticing.

did you see the drivers teeth falling out as the stiff ride shattered them, still it has a throaty exhaust.

it was night time, so barely saw who was inside... however the exhaust was also not very loud. significantly quieter than the 335i that i saw just a bit later.

Perhaps most interesting of all, I saw a black 1987 Mercedes-Benz 190E 2.3-16 parked on the street near a Mercedes dealership. Can anyone tell me how many of those were produced, or whether they ever actually exported them to the States?

Imagine my surprise when my February issue of Automobile Magazine arrived today with a short article about the 1987 Mercedes-Benz 190E 2.3-16. To answer my own questions, it was exported to the States for 1986 and 1987, and only 1,953 were sold in this country. The one I saw was fitted with aftermarket five-spoke rims.

Yesterday, I saw a silver-blue Maserati Quattroporte and a new brown BMW M5.

A Cayenne S. It's not as ugly as the Tribeca, but looking at 997 911 headlights on an SUV is not good. WARNING: looking at Cayennes from the front may induce vomiting.
