    91 chevy 454 SS

Hi, anybody knows if the 1991 chevy 454 SS(silverado SS) engine(454ci) came with forged pistons? i've heard some of chevy's big blocks came with forged pistons so i'd like to know, i have a cousin that has that truck and he wants to put a supercharger on it, he is also goin to install headers.

i'd also like to know which supercharger would be better for the truck(its mostly goin to be runnin on a 1/8 mile racetrack, dragracing), were lookin at a procharger supercharger or a whipple supercharger.

get the one that makes the most boost and more hp increase, those arethe main factors when talking about superchargers.

well the twin screw and centrifugal setups are both great setups in my mind. for serious drag racing though, most people wouldnt go past a roots or screw type blower, but the centrifugal claims higher % power gain. their only major downfall is they dont have the low range kick of other superchargers, but with it on a 454, you should have all the kick you need from stock
