My dad just ordered his new car, a Volkswagen Golf V GT-TDi . It goes like a rocket!! Its the diesel version of the Golf Gti,due for release early next year, so it has the suspension kit, sports seats, the lot. I love it So i thought i would make a tribute to the history of the golf, because over the years, its been the most successfull hatchback in europe and has influenced all manufacturers to make cars such as the astra, focus etc.

It’s true. The new Golf does look vaguely familiar.
When they were designing the new Golf, they knew exactly where to start. The answer, of course, was at the very beginning.
So they went back to 1974 and looked at the very first Golf they made. They were so inspired that they then looked at every Golf they’ve made since. Thirty years of continuous improvement is a lot to live up to, but with the new Golf they seem to have managed it. With a five star rating for safety from the Euro NCAP, you can rely on the Golf to keep you safe.
However, even after all this time, it’s reassuring to see one thing’s barely changed at all.
Despite its new curvy lines, the new Golf is still clearly a Golf.
I'll post pics of the Golf V but you guys can post any pics of the Golf that you have, from over the years. Cheers, Rik
