Need some help deleting a virus/trojan !!!

LMAO, thanx for the advice ... I hope I didn't contract it from a porn site, as I don't visit them and my boys are still too young (I hope) to go searching for it... then again there is the wife (this could get good )

Some of the pop-ups from search "assitance" sites are quite insidious.
My SOs has certainly assisted in the 'pollution' of one of our PCs because a pop-up had said to click "No" if not interested. She clicked 'NO" - despite me telling EVERYONE to close any window with the X or Alt+f4.

yes, I got a trojan once, It changed my homepage to girlsgonewild.com , It saved stuff like free xxx photos and videos and brittany spears nude into my favorites and saved porn into my computer, dude that drove me crazy, but lucally, my Brother living with me downloaded a bunch of crap, my computer crashed so I had to wipe the slate clean and reinstall wondows, so buy bye trojan, but yse, stop visiting porn websites because every one will have a virus or serius spyware that it sticks into your computer.

The latest 'trick' is to get listed in the search engines for a common keyword - say Ferrari. So you do a seyarch on google or altavista for Ferrari and it offers you a web page whcih sas it has lots of Ferrari info and does indeed look like a Ferrari search. BUT, it's in the meantime opening pop-ups, some legit and asking you questions - all sounding and looking legit. Some will be, but some are slowly drawing you in to making the mistake of clicking on a linka nd getting 'stung' !!!

One more thing if it was a virus and your running windows then go to microsoft.com and download the specific patch so you cant get the same problem again

NOONE, I hoped u turned ur system restore back on....otherwise ur gonna loose alot of information that u may have in ur computer since turning it off.
