So your not a fan of the "worlds funniest commercials" shows eh. Im with you on that. I am always waiting for a movie to come on through them so I can go out and take a p#ss.

One that amuses me now is a Toyota ad where a group of feminists ( we all love them dont we) is marching through a city street with banners and placards denouncing male domination etc blah, blah. This guy in shorts and a red T shirt sees them and joins the procession shaking his fists in the air. The all stop at some traffic lights and he turns around at the front of the march and show them his shirt that reads "Make my dinner". The point being Hi lux trucks make you feel unbreakable. You probably have to see it. (or in henks case not).

i saw a really confusing commercial on today from the government of canada. i think it was supposed to be against smoking, but the message never really came out. the commerical seemed to be split between whether smoking was good or bad

A few years ago I found that he was a contributor to Wikipedia and his writing there turns out to have been about as controversial as his writing here.

For which we salute you sir. Your dedication to ripping on post zombies is heartily encouraged and appreciated.

Love that commercial too, Rob... great fun message, though a curmudgeonly 550 owner gasping at a Boxster isn't likely. But old? This somewhat overly serious commercial for the 996 is from the same period, but has great footage.

And I don't remember this one at all. Another maudlin trip down memory lane, probably done because Ferry was getting on in years.

Porsche makes pretty good commercials when compared to some of the other stuff I've seen from car manufacturers. One that failed is Hyundai showing off their Santa Fe and how much better it supposedly is versus an LR3 hah. There's just one minor flaw with their brilliant attempt. They sort of missed the point that the LR3 was made to climb mountains and wade rivers, not to jog around on a skid pad. Lets see the Santa Gay do that. Watch and have a laugh.

What is the "well equiped" price supposed to mean? Well equiped according to who?

probably according to the same monkey that thought people would take this commercial seriously. The sad thing is, I'm sure many do. To many people, vehicles are just a series of badges that they subconsciously rate from bad to awesome, but what they fail to see is the things some of those badges really stand for.
That said, Hyundai doesn't really market their cars toward enthusiasts, so this little clip would have probably worked wonders on a mother of four.
