    life-or-death-question

friend of mine brought this up:
    2004 mazdarx8 vs 2003 porshe boxter
    on a twisty windy track

think the rx8, keep in mind everything's stock due to the fact both would be on lease, could have a chance?

need serious answers.. minus points for idiots

The Mazda RX-8 is better looking in my opinion. (the new Boxster is another story). However, as far as performance, which is what I vote on, I'd go with the Porsche. I like rather have a slightly better handling car and a slightly faster car.

i'd have to say porshe as well. its slalom is better so it'll perform better on the twists. if the track was less twisty, then the rx-8.

Loads of others I'd take before these 2, but it has to go to the Boxter for the better handling.

You can see how unsettled the RX-8 is on track at http://www.ultimatecarpage.com/forum...ead.php?t=6009

lol if its handling its all bout the mx5 even though its seriously underpowered
i wanna get a 93-94 year 2nd hand one but insurance rates holding me back
but compared to my alternatives (MR2 2nd gen, 240sx on s13 or s14 chassis, and an older model rx7) miata seems like a good contender

lol crossfire and tt? what are you a hair stylist?
i can run faster around a track then a crossfire and the tt with its crazy dsg gearbox is just so wannabe racer

my vote goes for the porsche, no doubt. the RX-8 can beat the boxter in a straight, but the porsche is .1 second behind it the whole way . the boxter wins outright in the slalom.

it's also a porsche! i thought that would be a no brainer!

correction maybe (just for the record):

SCC has the rx8 running the slalom at 70.6

the reason i asked earlier is my friends dad has a boxter, and he was bragging at a party when he pulled up in it. I thought about it, mine vs his. So i challenged him to a duel so to speak. he's kind of a chicken, but im trying to bring him out to a track just to see which is better.
As Soon As I convince him, and i get him out to a track, I'll let you guys know who wins.
