Supposedly the CCR could surpass the record of the Veyron but as Ehra Leissen test track (9 km long) is owned by VW group it cannot be tested there. In ovals the top speed is supposedly always a bit lower than in a straight line, but as there is not other test track long enough, Koenigsegg (Swedish, btw) cannot retake the record for the moment.

congratulations for reviving a two year old thread. and your wrong, its the koenigsegg ccr now
FFS wats wrong with u all the VEYRON 407 kmh or if u remove the limiter (God have mercy on his soul who does) it will do 440kmh but then the tyres would probably burn out and then followed up but and explosion and some blood and guts. Who cares anyway its just a figure which most of the losers who buy the cars dont even reach which is sad.

maybe you should pay more attention and read the date and time of the posts made.
you'll notice my post was made some time go which was before the veyron had been tested.

Ok if ya ask me, i've done sum research a bit n from wat i can gather, the fastest car would be the SSC Ultimate Aero TT (stands for Twin Turbo), with 1180HP (2007 Version), followed by the Bugatti Veyron, with 1001hp. next up i would say is the BEAUTIFUL 2001 ABFlug S900 Supra, with about 900hp (that is for the actual remodeled car, not the original car fitted with a body kit, there were 2 versions). Then would be the Koenigsegg CCR, with sumwhere n the 800hp range, followed by the SSC Aero Base Model, putting out about 787HP. Finally the McLaren F1. If ya do sum searching around a bit, u should come across the actual info of the remodeled Supra (which is a completely different car compared to the original toyota supra). Reason for saying this is because i know a lot of people will argue over the Supra being 3rd placed, but if ya find the right car, not the ever so popular Supra with a fitted bodykit, then u'd see my point.......D*** u Bugatti and SSC!!!! lol i wanted the Supra ta be first (my fav car) but yea 2 other cars won this one.

    ******BTW*******

My ranking was based on the fastest in terms of **HORSEPOWER**. i DO want to point out that the rankings would be entirely different if u wanted to rank based on top speed. The list would remain unchanged except for the fact that the Supra would be knocked off the list ( ) due to the top speed limiter stopping the car from reaching above 202MPH. Without the limiter, who knows what the top speed could be, it may or may not compete with the Bugatti Veyron or SSC Ultimate Aero TT, but either way it is not known so i dont really wanna bother debating on that issue, no actual recordings, only opinionated. the other cars, CCR, F1, etc would just move up 1 in ranking. however the Veyron could take first due to it having the top speed record 253.2MPH, but the Aero TT i would consider to keep the 1st place ranking due to the attempted top speed test (which was limited due to weather issues) had it cruising at about 230MPH at only half throttle. U all decide for yourselves how u look at this situation.

Please note on behalf of a Markie Boy who stated that the Veyron was capable of 440KM/H, the 2008 Model of the SSC Ultimate Aero TT is said to have its 6 speed transmission tweaked in order to increase it's theoretical top speed to approx 286.272MPH (which translates to approx 458KM/H) at 7200RPM

Interesting but the latest CCXR has 1018bhp and the SSC Aero also has over 900bhp IIRC. So your Supra isn't even on the podium...

Let's play choose the one that doesn't belong. SSC Ultimate Aero: production, or near production stock supercar. Bugatti Veyron: production, stock supercar. ABFlug Supra: tuned supra.

    Tuners don't count.
