    Bmw 3.5 Csl

Well, it didn't come from the factory as a 3.5, but it is a 1972 CSL. Have owned it for 15 years, great track ride... and soon to be fitted with a 1988 M-1 3.5 which was purchased a year ago and is currently being freshened.

Correct and original alloy doors, hood, trunk, C/R 5 speed, alloy cage, plexi, ex ONS Clubsport, brought to the USA in 1987.
My first "serious" track car, and still favorite. Please pardon the pix, the space is pretty crowded.

Meanwhile, it sits in our garage waiting... these cars have such personality, when I walk out to work on something, I can almost hear it begging "Me next, please!

Dah Dah Duh Duh Dah Dah Duh Duh... BATMAN!

In case none of you knew, it's nickname was the Batmobile, because of it's splitters and large rear wing.

Maybe merging this thread with this one, would be interesting. Or at least some clean up or change of title on both, because they mix racing and road cars.

Good idea. Here's a link to what is probably the finest street CSL in existence, for sale at Canepa Motors.
Canepa's site is Flash driven so the pics can't be lifted, so I copped the Roundel cover shot by Klaus Schnitzer.
This is Carey Iida's Alpina CSL. I saw this car when he finished it in 1997, it was/is perfect. He must have been possessed.
Multi show winner... like every one it's ever entered!

    Canepa Design

EDIT: I realize the pic below is way far from hi-res, but the link's pics of this incredible CSL are serious hi-res.)
