New Lamborghini SUV!

According to information from Lamborghini, the new SUV is to be competition for such SUV's as the Cayenne. The company is hoping to prepare the SUV for production between 2005 and 2006. It will be built on the Gallardo platform and stylistically it will have cues from the Gallardo and the Murcielago. The top version is expected to have a 500hp, 5.0L engine and a 6 speed semi-automatic transmission

Like what Porsche did. Grabbed the front of the Gallardo and morphed it with another SUV. Looks ugly, but I'm sure performance wise Lamborghini will please.

I hate it .... why doesn't Lambo look at making affordable sports cars....is there really a demand for a 4WD tall stationwagons with 500bhp that will probably never see snow let alone actually go off-road?

I dont think this Lambo will ever see production.
Porsche produced the Cayenne coz they needed a sort of main-stream car to help them finance what they do best, sports car. But Lamborghini is in a strong financial situation under Audi and VW, so i dont see the point of producing this stupid vehicle, exept ofcourse if Ferrari produces one !!!

I'm not a fan of supercar-manufactures making SUVs, in fact, I hate it but I do love the LM002, it's so masculine and great. This new prototype looks too soft to compete with the LM. If they must produce a SUV, please make it look like the LM and name it LM003. And another thing, try to make it drink less than 5L/10 km

Be patient. Im sure when alll of the current hysteria is over, Porsche, Lamborghini and even BMW and Mercedes will divest themselves of these cynical "me too" abominations and get back to doing what they do best.
