Maserati was owned by the Fiat group , and so is Ferrari. The fact that Maserati now comes directly under Ferrari does not mean a real change in ownership.

HMMM I've never heard of a business move like that before It's like GM allowing Chevy to buy Pontiac, I can't see the point in it. Does anyone know why Ferrari bought Maserati and how and why Fiat allowed it??

You are both correct good job mates. Chrysler owned Maserati from 1988-1992 then it was bought by Fiat who then sold it Ferrari, a rather odd change in ownership because Fiat owns 90% of Ferrari which owns Maserati who was sold by Fiat. It was a complete 360o lol, Alright as for the next question.

What city in France are Citroens made in?

Chrysler never owned Maserati, they owned Lamborghini. Fiat took over Masearti from De Tomaso.

According to Fabio,, Chrysler owned Maserati from 1988-1992. I did some search on the TC (having never heard of the model before) and found that already in 1985 Lee Iaccoca pondered with the idea to get Maserati involved in a project. Obviously you don't have to own a company when you seek co-operation. (Ford and PSA are developing diesel engines together and give the same engine a different name TDCi-HDi when applied in their cars. There is no ownership relation between Ford and PSA as far as I nkow).
