they want you to work your ass off in all hours of the day, and for crap pay. Bunnings gets better pay per hour, and you only work Saturdays and Sundays. Too easy. I should have worked there than stupid Kmart...

Yeah you get a culture shock when you leave school. Like in TAFE, its nowhere near as social as high school, people rock up, learn, then leave. You gotta deal with the same 20 or 30 people in your class every damn day, so if you got a personality clash, too bad. But noone ever mixes and socialises amoung different courses. Which is a pity because where I went there were a lot of fine women (fashion and interior design students), but the atmosphere is really anti social.

well my mums done some tafe courses lately, and to say she was the class clown is an understatement i guess you just gotta try harder to break the ice....

but i think things like Uni and stuff, usually people just hang onto High school friendships, ive got a friend going through uni that i think goes there with some high school friends

Its not too bad, but bad luck if your shy. I think the main thing is when everyones on break the first thing they do is leave the buildings, so theres no sitting around together. The most social bit is definately the end of term where everyones on common ground, everythings due and noones done it.

Yeah you definately hold on to high school friendships, but the best thing is if you just see some jerk from your school you can just totally ignore them safe in the knowledge theyre gonna do the same...

well when you think about it, a burger costs about $3-$3.50 at Macca's, and they only pay you around $10 an hour i think...maybe less. Not to mention its one of those places people always seem to go to get easy work. If someone lost their job cause of a bad order, no big deal finding a replacement, and if they went through 5 burgers getting a custom order right, same situation.
