the pontiac aztek should never have been built. it's so ugly!
one AMC that is pretty cool is the AMX
Wenn Sie wissen wollen, was einen volkswagen ein volkswagen macht, treibt es.
I only liked the AMX for the 60's, then it was just the hi-po Javalin.
car that should not have been built:
Cadillac Escalade
Hummer H2
Chevy Avalance, any of the truck/utes
on that note. in car and driver some wrote them about the Escalade EXT(?), asking if the escalade is a sport/luxury vehicle(SLV), doesnt that make the EXT a sport/luxury/utility truck(SLUT)?
American Muscle: twice the cylinders, twice the awesome!

Here it is the 71 valient e49 charger the ultimate chrysler to be released in this country it manged 14.4 seconds on the 1/4 mile (faster then our ledgendery GTHO incidently the world fasted 4 door) the e49 charger was the worlds fastest accelerating 6 cylender engine which was only dethroned a few years later (1971 the car was made in) by the turbo porsche 911 came out.
The engine that powerd this small(ish) car was the chrysler hemi (semi hemi it is more like a clevland engine in its set up its not a true hemi)....265ci 6 with triple webber carbies and a special grind cam and some real attention to the heads as well as dual exausts (they sound great for 6s) they had a big tank option 26 galons as well as 15 inch ROH mags the earlier models were hamperd by 3 speed gear boxes and unasited brakes (non boosted brakes they never fixed that problem because it wasnt one just somthing to winge about) they later got Borg warner to make a 4 speed box for the e49 which also got the chargers best result of 3rd in our annual 500 mile race at bathurst a great result but not enough to stir the masses. if you want any more info just ask or type e49 charger in a serch engine.
and the donk (engine) with 300 hp and a boot load of tourqe.

Hemi's (or makers of engines with hemispherical heads) have always claimed to be able to extract a better power band using the same type and amount of fuel to produce more torque and power.Originally posted by crisis
Why?
They're also harder to make and the Bean-counters don't like them.
do the claims stand up?Originally posted by BiTurbo

Apparently a 'standard' head can't compete with the superior air/fuel mix and resulting power of the hemi where the exhaust, inlet valves and spark plug point towards the centre of the piston (sort of). Unlike a standard head which has them off to one side.Originally posted by crisis
